If a Year long season was similar to a day,
Spring would be like early morning,
Summer would be like mid day,
Autumn would be like evening,
Winter (which is what we are in right now) would be Night time,
Like the late at night, I find it hard to find energy to do much of anything and consistently dreaming of other things I want to do, Places I could go, Cool things I could make or buy.
but anyway

We have been trying to go a little easy on the oil in the cooking around here with everyone coming off of being sick, it can be a nice challenge to limit your self, see what creative ideas come up!
It is easier to use no oil on lunches then dinners I don't know why, Dinners just call for more richness sometimes.

Winter is definitely effecting our cooking here in Ionia.
more long cooked foods , and fried foods, more root vegetables,
The trick is trying to stay inspired!
I always have a little trouble with that.
I just try and keep my eyes open for new stuff, winter is a great time to try cooking those things you see around in Cook Books or Food Blogs, that seem interesting but you don't know how they would turn out, try it! be brave! maybe you will find something amazing!!
if anybody would like to share their favorite winters meal that would be great!!
