Have your Hato Mugi Barley and Eat your Pasta too!!

I always found it kinda funny that the most simple food (like Hato Mugi Barley) are usually expensive, and wide food (like pasta) are fairly cheap!
and it is usually the simple plain foods that are more difficult to cook delicious, while foods like pasta can be quite simple to make delicious (you just have to put enough seasoning on it ;)
For lunch we had
Hato Mugi Barley porridge 
-
Steamed Yams
-
Blanched Cabbage
~~~
For Dinner we had
Fried Pasta with Mushrooms and Tofu and Corn!
 -
Salad
